History of AYATO KAI
What kind of person is AYATO KAI

How AYATO KAI started karate
The catalyst for AYAYTO KAI journey in karate was his father's decision to enroll him in karate classes due to his brother's weak physical condition.
AYATO KAI initially began karate as an accompanying addition to his brother's training.
His father, having himself grown up in a strict dojo in Kyushu, was
determined to strengthen both of them and diligently supervised their training, both at the dojo and at home.
However, since his father practiced a different style called Goju-ryu, he also took the opportunity during free time to study videos of Shoto-kan Ryu practitioners and teach them for AYATO KAI and his brother. As a child, AYATO KAI would often be seen sleeping or resting on the side while his brother received guidance.
Despite starting out as a seemingly uninterested child, AYATO KAI passion and dedication to karate grew over time, shaped by his father's guidance and exposure to the teachings of Shoto-kan Ryu.
The catalyst for aiming to compete on the world stage
During my childhood, there were occasional visits from external instructors to our dojo, and those instructors would often wear their national flags on their chests.
At that time, I didn't fully understand the extent of these instructors' achievements in national and international competitions.
However, whenever there were tournaments held by these instructors at the Nippon Budokan, my mother would take me there.
The sight of them performing on the center court during the finals is still vivid in my memory. The serene atmosphere during their demonstrations, the applause that filled the venue after their
performances, and the expressions on the instructors' faces after their victories—all of it sparked admiration within me.
t was because of those instructors that I began to dream of competing in international tournaments someday, wearing my own national flag, just like they did.
